SOMALIA-UNREST-UXO
This handout picture taken on May 9, 2013 and released on May 10 by the AU-UN IST shows the destruction of 200 kilos of unexploded ordnances (UXOs), captured from al-Shabaab militants, in a pit near Mogadishu. Over 200 kilos of unexploded ordnances (UXOs), captured from al-Shabaab militants, are destroyed outside of Mogadishu at a safe location. A joint team, consisting of soldiers from both Burundi and Uganda, despose of weapons on a regular basis in order to ensure the weapons no longer pose a risk to civilians.
