FRANCE-ECONOMY-LABOUR-INDUSTRY-CHEMICALS-PROTEST
Employees of Kem One, a company specialized in chlorochemicals and vinyl products, burn a wooden pallet as they demonstrate to keep their jobs, on May 14, 2013 in front of Kem One's factory in Pierre-Benite, south of Lyon in central eastern France. Kem One is currently under receivership with new owner the Klesch group seeking compensation from Arkema over the sale of the business in 2012. The protestors were demonstrating against the potential loss of 1300 direct jobs and a large number indirectly associated with the company.
