(FILES) November 8, 2006 file photo shows the former keyboard player of The Doors Ray Manzarek talking with a reporter during a book signing event celebrating 40 years of the band's legacy in Hollywood. Ray Manzarek, keyboardist and founding member of The Doors, died May 29, 2013 in Germany after a long battle with cancer, according to a statement on the iconic band's Facebook page. Manzarek, who was 74, formed the group with Jim Morrison in 1965 after the two met by chance in Venice Beach, California.
