US-ATTACKS-QAEDA-FILES
(FILES) This frame grab from the Saudi-owned television network MBC (Middle East Broadcasting Center) shows Suleiman Abu Ghaith, the spokesman of alleged terror mastermind Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, claiming responsibility for the September 11, 2001 suicide attacks in the United States in an undated videotape broadcast by the Dubai-based MBC on April 17, 2002. Osama bin Laden's son-in-law, accused of terror related charges, defended on May 21, 2013 his choice of lawyer, a decision that the judge on the case has called a "mistake." Abu Ghaith, who is accused of conspiring to kill Americans, has pleaded not guilty. Last week, he announced he had dropped his court-appointed attorneys in favor of Stanley Cohen, who has experience defending Islamists, but is, himself, the target of two tax-related court cases.
