GERMANY-FRANCE-WAR-BATTLE OF LEIPZIG-RE-ENACTMENT
Actors wearing different uniforms from the time of the Napoleonic Wars (1803 - 1815) stand in front of the "Voelkerschlachtdenkmal" memorial as festivities started to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations and the 100th anniversary of the "Voelkerschlachtdenkmal" memorial to the Battle of the Nations on May 25, 2013 in Leipzig, eastern Germany. The battle, that took place from October 16 to 19, 1813, was fought between the coalition armies of Russia, Prussia, Austria and Sweden against the French army of Napoleon I.
