Lebanese army soldiers are stationed in the old city of the Lebanon's northern port of Tripoli on June 8, 2013 to restore calm following clashes the previous day between Salafists who support the revolt in Syria and pro-Damascus fighters. The Lebanese army warned that a plot was afoot to embroil the country in the 26-month conflict in neighbouring Syria, as deadly clashes between Damascus supporters and opponents inside Lebanon multiply.
