SAFRICA-POLITICS-HEALTH-MANDELA
A view of the Apartheid Museum near the 'capture site' of former South African President Nelson Mandela in Howick, approximately 150 kilometers west of Durban, in the KwaZulu Natal midlands. Mandela's "long walk to freedom was interrupted for 27 years on the R103, the old main road 5km from Howick, where he was ‘captured ‘ on his return journey to Johannesburg", according to the museum. Nelson Mandela was admitted to a Pretoria hospital on June 8, 2013, because of a recurring lung infection.
