FRANCE-NIGER-HOSTAGES-ACTION

People gather in front of the Paris City Hall in support of the four French hostages kidnapped in 2010 in the northern Niger town of Arlit to mark their 1000-day captivity on June 22, 2013. The four French nationals -- Pierre Legrand, Daniel Larribe, Thierry Dol and Marc Ferret -- were kidnapped on September 16, 2010, by Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) from the uranium mining town of Arlit, while working for Satom, a subsidiary of the French nuclear group Areva. Sign reads: ''Let's them regain freedom, Pierre Legrand, Marc Feret, Thierry Dolm Daniel Larribe, hostages in Sahel since September 16, 2010''. AFP PHOTO FRED DUFOUR
