TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY Thomas CABRAL

A combination of pictures taken on June 21, 2013 shows Monica Barzilay Mattis posing at the Necessidades Palace in Lisbon and the family name"Matuzewitz" on the diplomatic register where were recorded the visas issued by Aristides de Sousa Mendes, then consul General of Portugal in Bordeaux, at the Portuguese Foreign ministry. Monica is one of thirty descendants of survivors from the debacle of 1940 who were able to leave France thanks to the visas issued by Aristides de Sousa. They were allowed to consult the register where were recorded the visas issued by the Portuguese consul, against the instructions of Antonio Salazar dictatorship. AFP PHOTO/ PATRICIA DE MOREIRA
