AUSTRALIA-MINING-RIOTINTO-DIAMONDS-FILES
(FILES) A file photo taken on May 17, 2013 shows Argyle Pink Diamonds manager Josephine Johnson inspecting the biggest 'red' diamond produced by mining giant Rio Tinto's Australian mine, in Sydney. Mining giant Rio Tinto said on June 24, 2013, it had decided to retain its diamond interests, which include operations in Canada, Australia and Zimbabwe, after a strategic review which considered a range of options, including divestment. Rio Tinto, one of the world's major diamond producers, raised the prospect of selling the businesses in March last year, to see if more value could be created through a different ownership structure.
