Jim Carrey has pulled out of promoting a film in which he stars, "Kick Ass 2," saying he could not condone its extreme violence after the Sandy Hook massacre. He announced his decision on Twitter, triggering an online appeal from one of the movie's executive producers to change his mind about promoting the movie, shot before the killings and due to open in August in the United States. "I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence," Carrey wrote, referring to last year's school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut which killed 20 youngsters and six adults.
