Newly arrived Hostess Twinkie snack cakes are for sale in a Wal-Mart store in West Covina, California, on July 14, 2013. Twinkies, the iconic yellow US dessert, are being relaunched and returning to shelves of American stores nationwide official on July 15, a spokeswoman for Hostess said, but Wal-Mart stocked their shelves early over the weekend. The revival of the Twinkie comes after a bruising bankruptcy last year and the subsequent liquidation of Hostess, an 82-year-old baking goods firm known for a line of low-cost but high-calorie offerings that have long been a mainstay in American kitchens.
