FV Naham 3 was pirated on March 26, 2013 with 28 hostages on board. The Malaysian flagged Motor Vessel, MV Albedo, held by armed pirates in an anchorage close to the Somali coast since November 2010, has sunk in rough seas. On Somalia's pirate coast, at least 54 sailors and fishermen -- almost all from poor families in Asia -- are still held for ransom in grim conditions, some for more than two years.
