INDIA-CHILDREN-HEALTH-ILLNESS-HYDROCHEPHALUS
Indian woman Fatema Khatun, carries her four-month-old daughter Roona from a hospital room in New Delhi on August 2, 2013, as they and her husband leave a hospital and head home to the north-eastern state of Tripura. Roona whose plight captured international sympathy, has battled through several life-saving surgical procedures which saw doctors at a hospital drain fluid from her head and dramatically reduce the size of her skull. Doctors have discharged a one-year-old Indian baby from hospital after nearly four months of treatment and surgeries to correct a rare disorder that caused her head to nearly double in size.
