INDONESIA-RELIGION-RAMADAN-ISLAM
In this photograph taken early on August 3, 2013, Indonesians arrive for prayer at the Istiqlal mosque after taking part in a festive motorcade called "sahur on the road" - sahur, meaning dawn meal prior to fasting - around central Jakarta as the Islamic holy month of Ramadan enters its final week before the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Indonesia is the most populous Muslim country in the world and many residents in the capital Jakarta hold a weekend dawn vigil in motorcades taking their packed meals to distribute to street beggars, then conclude their ride with a pilgrimage to a mosque to perform dawn prayers. Throughout Ramadan, devout Muslims must abstain from food and drink from dawn until sunset. AFP PHOTO / ROMEO GACAD
