US-POLITICS-MLK-ANNIVERSARY
The phrase "I have a dream," is engraved in the stone where Martin Luther King, Jr., stood and gave his historic speech advocating racial equality during the March on Washington in 1963 as tourists walk up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC on August 22, 2013. A full week of activities are planned ahead of the 50th anniversary of the speech and march on August 28, including a march along the original 1963 route on Saturday and speeches by US President Barack Obama and former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
