DENMARK-TOURISM-LITLLE MERMAID-THEFT-FILES
(FILES) This picture taken on June 1, 1998 shows Copenhagen's landmark "Little Mermaid" at Langelinie in Copenhagen, Denmark, after her bronze head had been stolen for the second time. The neat figure with the heartbroken gaze, unveiled a century ago on August 23, 1913, has become the symbol of the city of Copenhagen, just like the Eiffel tower in Paris or the Big Ben in London.
