CYCLING-BRITAIN-US-ARMSTRONG-MEDIA-FILES
(FILES) In a file picture taken on March 24, 2011 Lance Armstrong, chairman and founder at LIVESTRONG, speaks during a press conference by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network and LIVESTRONG to urge Congress to oppose cuts to cancer research and prevention programs at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Britain's Sunday Times said on August 25, 2013 it had settled with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong after it was forced to pay damages over a report which suggested he had used banned substances. The paper sued Armstrong for £1 million ($1.55 million, 1.16 million euros) last October when the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced it had "overwhelming" evidence of his drug use. He later confessed to Oprah Winfrey that he had taken performance-enhancing substances. AFP PHOTO/Mandel NGAN
