Spaniard Justo Marquez, (50) unemployed, his removes socks in La Linea de la Concepcion on September 1, 2013 before completing his140 km walk carrying a wooden cross from Malaga to Gibraltar where he intends to spend 24 hours fasting and in prayer in front of the boarder separating Spain and Gibraltar, asking God to end the conflict between Spain and Gibraltar over territorial waters. "If anybody offers me a bed to sleep in or a meal I would be very grateful," the ill-prepared Marquez told Spanish news agency Europa Press as he set off with just a baguette and a bottle of water.
