IRAQ-KURDS-ANFAL-CEREMONY
Kirkuk's governor Najm al-Din Omar Karim (C) carries one of the 80 coffins draped with the Kurdish flag and containing the recently exhumed remains of victims of the Anfal massacre during a burial ceremony in Tobzawa village, western Kirkuk, in northern Iraq, on September 8, 2013. The coffins contain the remains of victims of the brutal 1988 "Anfal" (Spoils of War) campaign carried out by Saddam Hussein's forces, in which an estimated 182,000 people have died.
