This picture provided on September 18, 2013, by the Swiss National Museum in Zurich, shows Silver denarius with Charlemagne’s monogram, from the 8th century, part of the exhibition: "Charlemagne and Switzerland" in Zurich. The Swiss National Museum unveiled an exhibition of Charlemagne, the Father of Europe in its medieval form. Entitled "Charlemagne and Switzerland", the exhibition will open its doors to the public on September 20, 2013, and will allow them to rediscover the thousand facets of the Carolingian emperor whose territory stretched from the borders of Gascogne area to the region of Thuringia, Germany.
