A combination of pictures shows Brtitish model Naomi Campbell (L) and Somali-born model Iman. Paris fashion week kicks off on September 24, 2013 with the industry on the defensive following a blistering broadside by Iman and Naomi Campbell over the lack of black faces on catwalks. The pair, two of the fashion world's best known figures, teamed up with US former model-turned-activist Bethann Hardison earlier this month to launch their attack.
The trio condemned the use of just "one or no models of colour" for a collection, saying the result was "racism", however unintentional.
