ROMANIA-ANIMALS-POLITICS-STRAY DOGS
An animal rights activist holds a puppy as she protests in front of the Constitutional Court of Romania in Bucharest on September 25, 2013. The Romanian Constitutonal Court validated a law allowing stray dogs to be put down. Romania's stray dog problem was discussed again after a four-year-old boy was mauled to death by a pack of strays at the beginning of September 2013. Between 40,000 and 60,000 stray dogs live on the streets of Bucharest, most of them fed and looked after by animal lovers. AFP PHOTO / DANIEL MIHAILESCU
