This photo taken on September 12, 2013 shows a man walking past a piece of degraded grassland in Altanbulag, a sum (district) of Selenge Province in northern Mongolia. "I agreed to reduce the number of my goats by half," says Tsogtsaikhan Orgodol, a pastoral nomad, who limited the space his goats would graze on after joining a project aimed at reviving green land, thus giving up his ancestors' way of life.
