SPAIN-ART-VELAZQUEZ
A woman looks at two paintings by Spaniard Diego Velazquez (1599-1660), "Philip IV" (L) and "Pope Innocent X" (R) during the presentation to the press of the exhibition dubbed "Velazquez and the Family of Philip IV" at Prado National museum in Madrid on October 4, 2013. The exhit runs from 8 October 2013 to 9 February 2014 and gathers works of the artist’s portraits during the last eleven years of his career in the service of the Spanish monarchy, as well as collating some of the works of his successors, son-in-law Juan Bautista Martinez del Mazo and Juan Carreno, during the 1660s and 1670s.
