Kenyan police fire tear gas during riots sparked by the killing of a Muslim cleric in the port city of Mombasa on October 4, 2013. Rioters set fire to a church in Mombasa, in furious battles with the police sparked by the killing of Sheikh Ibrahim Ismail, police said. The Kenyan government has said 4 people were killed and seven wounded, as armed paramilitary police moved towards a mosque, whose leaders have been accused of links to Somalia's Islamist Shebab, insurgents who attacked a Nairobi shopping mall last month.
