URUGUAY-ARGENTINA-FINLAND-PULP MILL-PROTEST
Uruguayan members of the naval command block the access to the border to Argentinian environmentalists from the city of Gualeguaychu after they crossed the General San Martin bridge, which links Argentina and Uruguay, on October 6, 2013. The environmentalists drove along in a convoy to protest against the increase of the production of Finnish pulp mill UPM, placed on the Uruguayan bank of the bordering Uruguay river. Members of the People's Assembly of Gualeguaychu had blocked the bridge for almost four years since November 2006, as they protested against the construction of the pulp mill. AFP PHOTO/ Miguel ROJO
