Models of the characters of Obelix and dog Idefix (L) and Asterix (C) are displayed at the Bibliotheque nationale de France (BnF), on October 9, 2013, in Paris, prior to the exhibition entitled "Asterix a la Bnf ! " scheduled from October 16 to January 19, 2014. This retrospective related the adventures of Asterix, a diminutive mustachioed warrior battling the Roman occupation of his native Gaul, or ancient France. Asterix and his companions were created by cartoonist Albert Uderzo and late author Rene Goscinny. The last album, released on October 24, 2013 is a work of French writer Jean-Yves Ferri and designer Didier Conrad. AFP PHOTO THOMAS SAMSON
