The new Chairpersons of the German Green Party Anton Hofreiter (L) und Katrin Goering-Eckardt (R) arrive for talks with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) to explore the possibility to form a coalition government in Berlin on October 10, 2013. The exploratory talks with the left-leaning ecologist Green Party are part of Merkel's hunt for a governing partner after her conservatives won September 22 elections but fell short of a ruling majority.
