(FILES) A picture taken on October 18, 2012 shows two Syrian rebels taking sniper positions at the heavily contested neighborhood of Karm al-Jabal in central Aleppo. AFP won several prizes on October 12, 2013 at the 20th Bayeux-Calvados awards for war correspondents, which this year was dominated by reporting of the Syrian conflict. AFP freelance photographer Javier Manzano won the public's prize for a series of pictures of Syrian rebels fighting in Aleppo last year.
