TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY JOVAN MATIC
Postman Filip Filipovic exits on October 7, 2013 the post office in Kursumlijska Banja, some 300 kms south of the capital Belgrade. When Filipovic was named postman to Kursumlijska Banja two years ago and saw how people live there he immediately knew his mission would go far beyond ordinary mail delivery. Filipovic covers a dozen villages in southern Serbia, scattered in the surrounding mountains along the border with Kosovo, with which his post office is connected by dirt roads.
