Neuschwanstein Castle can be seen behind autumn colored trees on October 17, 2013 near Hohenschwangau, southern Germany. The 19th century Romanesque revival palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria. Construction started in 1869 and was almost finished in 1884.
