Ed Davey, Britain's Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, speaks at a press conference in central London on October 21, 2013, to announce a programme to build new twin nuclear plants at Hinkley Point, on the west coast of England. French energy giant EDF said on Monday it had clinched a deal worth £16 billion ($26 billion, 18.9 billion euros) to build Britain's first new nuclear plant for a generation, with Chinese backing.
