CORRECTION-SOMALIA-UNREST-AU
A handout released on October 25 by the African Union-United Nations Information Support Team shows Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud (C) speaking with African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) Chief of Staff Brigadier General Osman Nour Soubagleh during a visit by the African Union's Peace and Security Council (PSC), on it's first visit to the Somali capital Mogadishu, in Villa Somalia, the seat of the Somali Federal Government. The PSC is the AU’s 15-member standing decision-making body responsible for the maintenance of continental peace and security. During the visit, the Council met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud where it called for an extra 6,300 troops and police forAMISOM as well as enhanced engineering capabilities and much needed equipment including military utility helicopters and armored personnel carriers.
