SPAIN-ACCIDENT-MINING

A man holds up a sign as miners, family members and locals gather on October 28, 2013 in Pola de Gordon northwestern Spain in memory of six miners who died asphyxiated yesterday. Spanish miners launched a 48-hour work stoppage today as they recalled the horror of a methane gas leak that swiftly killed six coal workers in the troubled industry's deadliest accident in 18 years. Another five workers injured at the Santa Lucia mine, near the town of Pola de Gordon, were taken to hospital and are in a stable condition, officials said. Sign reads: "Minister does this seem like a privilege to you?" AFP PHOTO / CESAR MANSO
