Alberto Zamperla, head of designing and manufacturing company Zamperla SpA attends a press conference on October 30, 2013 in Venice to present a project for San Biagio’s Island, a man-made island which has been used as a garbage dump for years and which could be converted in a cultural and leisure facility dedicated to the restoration of history and ancient heritage of the Venice lagoon. Zamperla SpA, a leading company in the development of multifunctional areas and known for its projects all around the world (Coney Island, Kalkar, Russia etc.), in collaboration with Ca’ Foscari University Foundation that has worked with Zamperla for over a year in activities of research, presents today in the university the project of reclassification of San Biagio’s island: from a former incinerator to a natural environment focused on the guardianship and enhancement of value for Venice and its lagoon’s rich heritage.
