Kennedy (L) and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy greeting members of the 2506 Cuban Invasion Brigade at Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami, Florida. Brigade 2506 was a CIA-sponsored group of Cuban exiles formed in 1960 to attempt the military overthrow of Cuban President Fidel Castro. It carried out the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion landings in Cuba on April 17, 1961.
