FRANCE-LITERATURE-ESPIONAGE-FUNERAL
French priest Michel Gueguen (C), head of the parish, takes part in the funeral ceremony of French prolific spy novelist Gerard De Villiers, on November 7, 2013, at the Saint Honore d'Eylau church in Paris. De Villiers, the creator of the top-selling SAS series with a hero often described as France's answer to James Bond, died aged 83 in Paris, on October 31, 2013. Never a darling of the critics, De Villiers was nonetheless a publishing phenomenon, claiming his thrillers sold up to 150 million copies worldwide. AFP PHOTO / ERIC FEFERBERG
