Krima Molina, a 26-year-old Filipina assistant language teacher of Japanese elementary school and junior high school displays a picture of her family members at her residence in Kimitsu in Chiba prefecture, southern Tokyo on November 13, 2013, after her parents called her from Leyte island on November 11, three days after Typhoon Haiyan hit her hometown. As Filipinos living abroad tried franctically to contact loved ones after Super Typhoon Haiyan devastated their homeland, the Philippine diaspora mobilised to raise funds and send what relief they could.
