BRAZIL-GOULART-EXHUMATION-ROUSSEFF-LULA DA SILVA
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff (L), the widow of former Brazilian President (1961-64) Joao "Jango" Goulart, Maria Tereza Goulart (C) and former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, are pictured during a ceremony held upon the arrival of the coffin containing the remains of the late former leader at Brasilia's Air Base on November 14, 2013. The remains of Joao Goulart, ousted as Brazilian president ahead of the 1964-85 military dictatorship, were exhumed on Wednesday at a cemetery in Sao Borja, near the Argentinian border some 600 km from the Brazilian southern city of Porto Alegre, to determine if he was poisoned. Goulart is suspected of having been poisoned under the Condor plan, a program of repression Latin American military regimes put in place to quash opposition in the 1970s and 1980s.
