BRITAIN-RUSSIA-GREENPEACE-PROTEST
Protesters call for the reslease of 28 Greenpeace activists and two journalists held in Russia awaiting trial during a demonstration outside a Shell petrol station in south London on November 16, 2013. Greenpeace held a day of 'gobal action' to urge the release of 30 Greenpeace crewmembers jailed after a protest against energy prospecting in the Arctic. In the UK Greenpeace targeted the forecourts of Shell filling stations because of a proposed partnership between the Anglo-Dutch energy giant and Russia's Gazprom for hydrocarbon exploration and development in the Russia's arctic shelf.
