French illustrator Albert Uderzo, (C) co-creator of the successful comic strip Asterix, holds a bronze statuette representing the comic character Obelix after the modelling step, made by the art workshop of the Monnaie de Paris in Paris. To mark the release of the new comic album "Asterix and the Picts", the Monnaie de Paris, an administration of the French government charged with issuing coins as well as producing medals, is producing a collection of art pieces inspired by the French illustrator Albert Uderzo. A limited edition of only twenty bronze statuettes of Obelix will be made. AFP PHOTO / JOEL SAGET
