INDIA-HEALTH-CHILDREN-HYDROCEPHALUS-FILES

(FILES) This combination picture of two photographs show a file photograph (L) taken on April 13, 2013 of Fatima Khatun, 25, feeding her-then eighteen month old daughter Roona Begum, suffering from Hydrocephalus, in which cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain at their home in Jirania in the northeastern Indian state of Tripura, and another photograph (R) showing Fatima Khatun tending to the now twenty-one month old Roona following their return home on August 2, 2013, after her discharge from a hospital in the outskirts of New Delhi. Doctors said November 23, 2013 they plan more surgery for a two-year-old Indian girl to correct a rare disorder that caused her head to balloon to twice its normal size. Roona Begum, whose plight won international sympathy, has battled through a string of complex life-saving surgeries which saw doctors drain fluid from her head and dramatically reduce the size of her skull.
