US pending home sales slowed in October for the fifth straight month as supply tightens and consumers balk at higher prices, an industry survey showed November 25, 2013. The National Association of Realtors's pending home sales index, a contract-based indicator of activity in the industry, fell to 102.1 last month from 102.7 in September.
