(FILES) - A photo taken on March 2, 2004 shows a blockhaus at the World War II Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument on a cliff eight miles west of Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, which overlooks Omaha Beach. The monument was erected by the French to honor elements of the American Second Ranger Battalion under the command of Lieutenant Colonel James E. Rudder. More than 5 millions visitors are expected in June 2014 for the 70th anniversary of the Allied D-Day landing in Normandy. AFP PHOTO / MYCHELE DANIAU
