FRANCE-TRANSPORT-HERITAGE-LOCOMOTIVE-OFFBEAT
A locomotive Pacific 231 E 41, an historic monument, is transferred by truck, on December 5, 2013, from its exhibition area in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, near Tours, central France, to a former Royal Air Force warehouse in the same town, for its restauration by an association of old locomotives fans. Built in 1938 in the northern city of Calais, the train, one of two last Pacific locomotives in the world, linked Paris to London. AFP PHOTO / GUILLAUME SOUVANT
