YEAR2013-FRANCE-PERSONALITIES-FILES
(FILES)-- A file photo taken on November 18, 2013 shows French former hostage Francis Collomp (C) arriving at the military airport of Villacoublay outside Paris the day after he escaped his captors during a Nigerian army operation against Islamist group Boko Haram. "Being a hero, I don't like it so much" : after eleven months of captivity in Nigeria, the French hostage Francis Collomp managed to slip away from his captors as they were praying. Despite his escape which in the words of French President Francois Hollande is worthy of "an adventure book", the engineer of 63 wants to remain an "everyman", but it was as a hero that he was welcomed back to the island of Reunion on November 25, 2013.
