File picture taken on March 29, 1978 of Argentine military dictator (1976-1981) Jorge Rafael Videla, leader of the regime that ruled Argentina from 1976 to 1983. Videla lead the military coup that deposed President Maria Estela Martinez de Peron on March 24, 1976. In 1985, he was convicted for murder and sentenced to life, but was pardoned by President Carlos Menem in 1990. Videla was then under house arrest until 2008, when he was sent to a military prison. On December 22, 2010, after a new trial, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in a civilian prison, where he died on May 17, 2013. December 10, 2013 commemorates the 30th anniversary of the return to democracy in Argentina. AFP PHOTO / DANIEL GARCIA
