PERU-UN-CONTAMINATION-INDIGENOUS-ANAYA
United Nations appointed Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Indigenous Peoples, James Anaya, walks among piles of toxic waste in New Andoas, 3,850 km north-east of Lima on December 11, 2013, during a visit to indigenous communities affected by the contamination caused by industrial and petroleum operation residuals by the companies Oxi and Pluspetrol in the Loreto region.
