BERLIN, GERMANY, 01 SEPTEMBER 2002 -----
Car maker Daimler-Chrysler premiered its new luxury line car, the "Maybach" at the company's Berlin showroom. The car retails for about euro 400,000. The Maybach name was last seen 60 years ago. The new model will be hand-built at the Sindelfingen plant in Germany, next to where the S-Class is made. Mercedes hopes to establish the Maybach as a direct rival to Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
